Karen Lynn Geidner, 79, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born in Michigan on February 4, 1947 to the late Joe and Myrle (Yost) Carpenter.

Karen honorably answered her country’s call and served in the United States Army.

Following her time in the Army, Karen went to work for the Civil Services, helping soldiers and their families transition to civilian life. In retirement, Karen also worked at Menards.

In her free time, Karen enjoyed crochet and sewing, but her true passion was to support the Chicago Bears.

She is survived by her daughter, Lesley (John) Craig; 2 granddaughters; and brother, Tom Carpenter.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Greg Seibert; and brother, Robert Carpenter.

A Memorial Services celebrating Karen’s Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier with a Memorial Calling from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
