Judy Ann Klingaman

November 13, 1946 — August 15, 2024

Judy Ann Klingaman, 77, of Cromwell passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at home. She was born on November 13, 1946 to Floyd Harold and Helen Margaret (Mulford) Elliott in Wabash, IN. On November 15, 1964, Judy married Bradley Carlyle Klingaman in North Manchester. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2014, after 50 years of marriage.

Judy worked as a local interior designer for several years, developing plans for kitchens and bathrooms, in addition to her roles of farm wife and mom. She loved baking for her kids, and eventually her grandkids, which were her pride and joy. She could always be counted on to fill a seat at their games, concerts, and events. She was a second mom to many, loving extended family and friends as her own. She enjoyed shopping and loved a good deal, as well as ice cream runs to Otto’s or the Igloo. Judy also had a love for “Murder She Wrote”, her all-time favorite show. Judy was a former member of Tri Kappa and the Eastern Star.

Judy was a fearless force with a wild side, and could be outspoken when needed. Nevertheless, everyone loved her and she made friends easily. Her warm and caring personality drew others in. Judy had a heart of gold, and was genuinely accepting and forgiving. Overall, she was an outstanding person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Judy is survived by four children, Lori (Grant) Sparks of St. Paul, MN, Jandi (Ernest) Vance of Albion, Carrie (Kevin) Cooksey of Silver Lake, and Noel (Heather) Klingaman of Topeka; 16 grandchildren, Michael Clark, Nikki Klingaman, Dustin (Tiffany) Sparks, Christopher (Caitlin) Vance, Austin (Emilee) Vance, Cale Lazar, Connor Lazar, Logan Vance, Ethan Vance, Maddie Lazar, Ella Lazar, Alyxandria Lindsey, Blake Cooksey, Lillian Cooksey, Landon Harris, Ava Klingaman, and Kinsley Klingaman: 11 great grandchildren, Kaycee, Ryker, Braxton, Lynnox, Mason, Mala’kie, Kaylee, Karlee, Cullen, Rowan, Raelyn, Aubree, and Preslee; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Elliott; a brother-in-law, Bob Kohnen; numerous nieces and nephews; and special lifelong friends, Larry and Nelma Stoner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bradley Klingaman; a grandson, Josh Klingaman; and siblings, Jean Werking, Joan Urschel, Martha Spann, and Bill Elliott.
