Judy Kay Anglemyer, 65, of Elkhart passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at home. She was born on January 3, 1953 to Eugene and Frances (Eaglebarger) Anglemyer in Allegan, MI.
Judy will be greatly missed by her children, Sherry (Geno) Drake, Heidi Webber, Gidget Fields, and Michael “Beatle” Fields; nine grandchildren, Samantha Cupp, Makayla Drake, Gage Drake, Joseph (Carrie) Webber, Kaytlin Hoy, Jasmine Webber, Franklin Pick, Breanna Fields, and Ethan Fields; five great grandchildren, Morgan, Abigail, Braxton, Brooklin, and Nevaeh; seven siblings, Frances (Emmeth) Engeseth, Carol Anglemyer, Donald (Ruth) Anglemyer, Jerry Anglemyer, Tom (Marcia) Anglemyer, Dennis (Barb Baker) Anglemyer, and Kathy Blankenship; and too many nieces and nephews to count.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Jeanie; and two brothers, Victor and Robert Dean.
Judy loved to spend her spare time with a fishing pole in her hand, or walking through the woods of Michigan looking for morel mushrooms. She was known for being lucky, not just in finding morels, but in whatever the gamble was. Judy was artistic and had a way with modeling clay. She was also a fan of the Michigan Wolverines.
Judy was happiest when devoting time to her children and grandchildren; she was always there for them, through thick and thin. Judy was just as tough as the next Anglemyer, and remained positive, even as she battled cancer. She will always be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
A funeral service in honor of Judy will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Kessington Community Church, 70200 Kessington Rd, Edwardsburg, MI 49112. Pastor Steven Steele will officiate.
Friends and family will be received from noon until 3:00 PM on Monday at the church.
Judy will be laid to rest with her family at a later date in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis, MI.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Judy’s family, c/o Donald Anglemyer.
