Jose Luis Dominguez-Guzman

LIGONIER — Jose Luis Dominguez-Guzman, 56, of Ligonier, IN, passed away surrounded by family at his residence on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 3:30p.m. He was born on June 25, 1962, the son of Francisco Dominguez-Ruiz and Maria Concepcion Guzman-Murillo in Guanajuato, Mexico. On February 4, 1984 he married Esther Dominguez in Guanajuato, Mexico; she survives.

Jose’s family describes him as always having a smile on his face.  Being the baby boy of his large extended family, he kept pretty happy. He collected all different types of movies and hats regardless if they were cowboy or baseball style.  His favorite thing to eat was carne a la tampiquena.  He loved his family more than anything and was a devoted friend, and neighbor, he always found time to spend with anyone and play music.  He always made time to help everyone.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 34 years, Esther Dominguez; three children, Jose (Ana Luisa Rodriguez) Dominguez Jr., of Ligonier, IN, Ana Rosa (Cesar Martinez) Dominguez, of Cromwell, IN, Elizabeth Dominguez of Ligonier, IN; grandchildren, Fabian Martinez, Renata Dominguez, Natalie Martinez, Karla Dominguez, Cesar Martinez Jr.; siblings, Ruben Dominguez, Raul Dominguez, Manuel Dominguez, Alicia Martinez, Imelda Ruiz, Guadalupe Juarez, Francisco Dominguez, Josefina Ruiz, Irma Dominguez, along with many nieces and nephews.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents; Francisco Dominguez-Ruiz and Maria Concepcion Guzman-Murillo.

A funeral mass will be held in Mr. Dominguez-Guzman’s honor on Monday, September 17, 2018, at 10:30a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Ravine Park Dr. Ligonier, IN, 46767. Father Wilson Corzo will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery following the service.

Family and friends will be received beginning at 10a.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligoner, IN 46767. Visitation will continue throughout the evening until 12a.m.
