John Sawicki

John “Jack” P. Sawicki, 63, of Ligonier, passed away on May 22, 2021 at his home with his family and best friend by his side.  He was born to John Sawicki and Beatrice Burns in Utica, New York on February 20, 1958.  He married Connie Kunder on July 2, 1983.

Jack worked for many years in the construction industry.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time on the lake and was an avid Cubs and Colts fan.

Jack is survived by his wife, Connie Sawicki of Ligonier; step-daughters, Cheri (Roger) Newcomer of Ligonier, Amy (Mitch) Skinner of Ligonier; step-son, Todd Byler of LaGrange; grandchildren, Bryce Armstrong of Ligonier, Derek Newcomer of Wolcottville, Nicholas Armstrong of Wolcottville, Jonn (Stephanie) Thomas of Ft. Wayne, Jayke (Jolene) Thomas of Albion, Jacuelin Thomas of Ligonier; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Newcomer, Zaydien Thomas, Zyelyr Thomas, Oakley Thomas, Delana Monahan; brother, Jerry Sawicki of Ligonier and sisters, Linda (Mush) Marshall of Ligonier and Dorothy (Shirl) Hall of Ligonier.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held in Jack’s honor at 4pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana.  A gathering of friends and family will take place from 2-4 pm prior to the funeral. Pastor Joseph Brickey will officiate.  A cremation comitial will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
