John H. Stout

John H. Stout, age 80, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born on April 2, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Lawrence and Madelyn (Curley) Stout.  John married Mary Gose on April 7, 1973 in Ligonier, Indiana.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Stout of Topeka; brothers, Larry (Mary) Stout of Coldwater, MI, Melvin Stout of Ligonier; and a sister, Elsie (Wilbur) Chupp of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Stout; and sister, Joyce (Stout) Osborn.

John was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army. He worked at Culligan Water for over 20 years. John was a member of Trinity Holiness Tabernacle in Goshen for over 30 years where he served as a board member for over 25 years.

A funeral service will be held in John’s honor at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Yeager Funeral Home,1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. Pastor Michael Johnson will officiate the service.  A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, Indiana.
