Jeffrey 'Jeffro' L. James

Jeffrey L. “Jeffro” James, age 63, of Cromwell, IN, passed away unexpectedly in Ligonier, IN on Monday April 24, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1954 in Norton, Virginia to Joe and Roalice (Wheatley) James.

Mr. James served his country honorably in the United States Navy in the early 1970’s and retired from Monsanto-Silgan in Ligonier in 2014 after 40 years of faithful service. Jeffrey attended Strong Tower Worship Center and was a huge NASCAR fan. He especially liked Tony Stewart. Jeffrey spent many years on a bowling team and enjoyed collecting coins. He was especially proud of bowling a 300 in a game in 2001.

Mr. James is survived by his children, Casey (Tina) James of Cromwell, Carrie (Jason) James of Ligonier; grandchildren, Joey James, Jeramyah James, Jacob James, and Jaslyn James; sisters, Jodi (Sam) Stump of Ligonier, Glenna (Jim) Clark of Ligonier; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marty Coburn.

A funeral service will be held in Mr. James’ honor on Friday April 28, 2017 at 1PM at Strong Tower Worship Center, 502 West Diamond Lake Road, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Joshua Vargas will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN, where military honors will be conducted.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday April 27, 2017 at the Strong Tower Worship Center and also from 12PM until the time of the 1PM service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to Strong Tower Worship Center.
