Jeanette M. Wilcox

Jeanette M. Wilcox, age 77, of Kimmell, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at The Waters of LaGrange. She was born on February 19, 1946 the daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Werker) Beers at Lucky Hospital in Wolf Lake, Indiana. She married Robert Duane Wilcox in 1968 and they had a daughter, Laura. Robert preceded her in death in 2015.

Jeanette will be missed by her daughter, Laura (Mike) Miller of Kimmell; three grandchildren, Brittany Tackett of Shipshewana, Staffan Wilcox of Kimmell, and Mykaela Miller of Kendallville; three great-grandchildren. Aiden Adams, Drayden Slabach, and Emilia Reeder; and two brothers,  Alan Beers and Charles Beers, both of Kimmell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mary Lou Eames and David Beers.

Jeanette graduated from Cromwell High School and worked at Oaklawn, Decko, Monsanto, and Millennium over the years. She enjoyed painting ceramics and loved reading, watching her shows, and spending time with her family.

In keeping with Jeanette’s wishes, a cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A celebration of her life will be held at Sparta Christian Church, 2584 US-33, Kimmell, IN 46760, on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1 pm.
