Janet M. Tuvell

Janet M. Tuvell, age 79, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on January 11, 1944 to Eugene and Edith (Hosstter) Gray in Wabash, Indiana.  She married Dolph Tuvell on February 26, 1971 in Ligonier, Indiana.

Janet is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dolph Tuvell of Syracuse; children, Teresa Owens of Syracuse, Troy (Sherri) Airgood of Ligonier, Ginger Wiley of Milford, 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, June Cedeno of Ozark, AL and Joyce (Dale) Dewitt of Pelion, SC.  She is preceded in death by her parents and many brothers and sisters.

Janet was a hair stylist for many years. She was the owner of Banners Beauty Bar and Jan’s Fashion Coiffeur. She also enjoyed crafts and spending time on the lake.

A funeral service will be held in Janet’s honor  at 10 am on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Jean Ness will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
