Obituary

Jana L. Miller, 55, of Ligonier, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

She was born on June 24, 1970 to Charles “Chuck” and Suellen (Heintzelman) Beers.

Jana was a graduate of West Noble High School and then went on to graduate from Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

On November 18, 1995, in Cromwell, Jana married the love of her life, Timothy “Tim” Miller.

In Jana’s free time, she loved everything sports. She was also an avid Colts, Pacers and especially West Noble fan. She and her sister loved to attend Cubs games and were working their way to all the stadiums. Jana enjoyed reading, puzzles, walking and spending time at her pool. The most important part of Jana’s life was caring for her family, and her sons were her pride and joy. Jana will be fondly remembered for her deep love of her family, friends and her community.

Jana worked for nearly 32 years for Lake City Bank, most recently as the Manager of the Ligonier South Branch. Jana cared deeply about her Ligonier South team and clients, something everyone noticed the minute they stepped into her branch.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Miller; children, Philip (Caroline) Miller and Drew (Emma Berger) Miller; parents, Chuck and Sue Beers; siblings, Jill (Todd) Hughes and Joel (Angie) Beers; nieces and nephews, Tanner Hughes, Kelsey Hughes, Alle Cantu, Zach Beers and Izzy Beers; mother-in-law, Inge Baker; and brother-in-law, Tony Miller.

Jana’s family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier for a Memorial Calling.

Memorials may be directed to JA- Serving Noble County, Crossroads United Way and/or the Community Foundation of Noble County.
