Gloria "Sue" Tackitt

Gloria “Sue” E. Tackitt, age 75, of North Webster, IN passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on November 10, 1944, the daughter of George J. and Mieze (Roan) Polinsky Freeman in Framingham, Massachusetts. On May 7, 1988 she married Richard Tackitt in Cromwell, Indiana.

Sue is survived by her husband Richard Tackitt of North Webster, IN; sons, Maynard (Shelia) Shaffer of Cromwell, James Allen (Roxanna) Shaffer, Jr.; daughters, Christine (Bill) Burke of Memphis, TN, Rosemary (Roy) Quade of Ligonier, Jamie Diehl of Albion, Annie Harker of LaGrange, Tanya (Darrel Huffman) Sexton of Nappanee, Lisa (Tom) McKee of Mongo, Cindy Hydorn of Wolcottville, Mindy (Chris) Shaffer, of Prairie Mississippi; 43 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren; brothers, George E. Polinsky of St. Petersburg, FL, John (Joan) Parsons of California, Dan (Linda) Morgan of Massachusetts, Dave Parsons of Arizona; Jaunita Sigeh of Massachusetts and Ruth Forbes of Massachusetts. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Noonan and brother, Paul Parsons.

Sue enjoyed doing crafts, coloring, her Candy Crush and animals.  She loved her grandchildren and never knew a stranger.

A funeral service will be held in Sue’s honor at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 9, 2020 at The Crosswalk at Ligonier United Methodist Church, 466 Townline Road, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Jean Ness will officiate.

Friends and family will be received from 12 pm-2 pm and 4 pm-6 pm at The Crosswalk.

A cremation comital will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier, Indiana
