Gloria "Jeanie" Marrs

Jeanie Marrs, age 75, passed away on October 20, 2020 at home. She was born on November 14, 1944 the daughter of Buster and Betty Lou Dennis in Fort Wayne, IN.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Marrs, granddaughters, Kayla (Jared) Feller, Stormie (Dylan) Mahon, great-grandson Bentley Mahon; great-granddaughters, Alyliah Rose Mahon and Everleigh Feller; sisters, Daila Working, and Rosey Easterday; the father of her son, Kenneth Marrs; and her extended Marrs family whom she remained very close with over the years.

She was preceded in death by her best friend, and the love of her life for over 40 years, Jimmie Dean Hill 2016; and her parents.

Jeanie retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections after over years of service. She enjoyed being at the lake, cooking, and spending time with her family. However, nothing was more important to her than her grandchildren.

In keeping with Jeanie’s wishes no public visitation or services are planned. Rather, the family will host a celebration of her life complete with a roast in the warm weather of 2021.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Her ashes will be buried under a honey crisp apple tree by the lake, just like she wanted.
