Glenn Alan Borders, Iii

May 11, 1961 — October 25, 2024

Glenn Alan Borders III, 63, of Rome City, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2024 at home. He was born on May 11, 1961 to Glenn Alan Borders, Jr. and Ruby (Williams) Stockton in Elkhart. He graduated from West Noble High School with the class of 1979.

Glenn was an over the road truck driver who was passionate about motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. He had three Harleys, two of which he built himself, with his lifelong friend, Brad Everhart. Glenn was also very patriotic and liked fishing and watching westerns.

Known as a “gentle giant,” Glenn was always finding ways to help others, even if it wasn’t in his best interest. He was famous for his “friendly wave” and had a great sense of humor, consisting heavily of fart jokes. Glenn is remembered by those that love him most as a generous man that loved his dogs, his family, and most of all his grandkids.

Glenn is survived by his long time partner, Robin Lemon of Rome City; his children, Mark (Ashley) Borders of Wolf Lake, Josh (Eva) Borders of Fishers, and Andrew (Abbey) Borders of Kendallville, Tyler Lemon of Wawaka, and Jennifer Lemon of Garrett; grandchildren, Newman, Jordan, Jaida, Aaliyah, Korbin, September, Haylee, and Rylie; siblings, Marsha Toland of Plymouth, Richard Stockton of Illinois, and Kristin Swinson of Illinois; and his dog, Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patsy Stockton. His beloved dog, Carlos and his faithful trucking dog, Maynard are also waiting for him on the other side.

A funeral service in honor of Glenn will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN 46767. Glenn will take his last motorcycle ride following the service and all riders are welcome to join.

Family and friends will be received from 1-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
