Glenda Joyce Bauer

Glenda Joyce Bauer, age 87, of Cromwell, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Miller’s at Oak Point in Columbia City, Indiana. She was born on January 17, 1934, the daughter of Floyd and Glenora (Carney) Widdifield in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She married John Bauer on August 21, 1971 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Glenda is survived by her husband John Bauer of Cromwell; daughters, Denise (JR) Yoder of Syracuse, Vanessa (Mike) Cannon of Syracuse, Cindy (Darrell) Click of Kimmell; sons, Brian Hewitt of North Webster, Brent Hewitt of Cromwell; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and Uncle Lloyd Widdifield.

Glenda retired from Union Products in Cromwell after 17 years.  She enjoyed embroidering, crossword puzzles, and loved birdwatching and spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held in Glenda’s honor at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. A visitation will be held from 1-4pm, prior to the service.  Pastor David Winters will officiate. Burial will take place at Indian Village Cemetery at a later date.
