Glenn "Doyle" Hensley

Glenn “Doyle” Hensley, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Bethlehem Woods in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on May 24, 1945 the son of Virgil and Uffie (Spratlin) Hensley in Dayton, OH. On August 26, 1996, he married Gwen Myers; she preceded him in death on January 22, 2014.

Doyle served his country honorably the United States Marines as a sergeant. He was wounded while serving three tours in Vietnam and was awarded the purple heart. He retired after driving semi for over 30 years and enjoyed antique tractors.

Doyle is survived by his son, Glenn Hensley II of Columbia City; three grandchildren, Cody (Lindsay) Hensley of Cromwell, Andrea (Nicholas) Marchand of Goshen, and Erika Hensley of Columbia City; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Ott.

Doyle was laid to rest with his late wife, Gwen Myers at Sparta Cemetery on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Pastor Joey Nelson officiated.
