Fred L. Green, age 78, of Cromwell, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1946 to Edwin Knight and Doris Rebecca (VanAlstine) Green in Kendallville, Indiana. He married Karen Sue Mynhier on January 17, 1976 in Kimmell, Indiana.

Fred is survived by his children, Jennifer Hines of New Haven, Jason (Heather) Green of Auburn, Justin Green of Cromwell; step-children, Keith (Stacie) Kiser of Kimmell, Garrick (Dee) Kiser of Kendallville; 16 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Scott) Pounds of Wawaka and Meg (Chuck) Amadeo of Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his parents; beautiful wife Karen; step-son Brad Kiser; grandchildren, Ethan (Shawna) Kiser; and brother, Bill Green.

Fred graduated from Syracuse High School in 1965. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1966 and served most of his time in England. Fred spent most of his years as Wawasee High School head bus mechanic for close to 30 years. He was a member of 4-H and FFA. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, restoring old tractors and going to auctions. Fred was loved and adored immensely by his family. While his casino trips with Karen are fond memories, his infectious smile was what people remembered most.

A military graveside service will be held to commemorate the life of Fred at 11 am on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Sparta Cemetery. Pastor Cody Cripe will officiate.
