Elizabeth "Betty" Lemon

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Lemon, age 87, of Kendallville, IN passed away at Parkview Noble Hospital on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 1:40 AM. She was born on September 10, 1931 the daughter of Harold and Hilda (Bowman) Reichard in Kendallville, IN. On November 24, 1960, she married Richard Lemon; he preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her children, Harold Lemon and Valerie Lemon, both of Kendallville, IN; two grandchildren, Tyler Lemon of Wawaka, IN and Jennifer Lemon of Kendallville, IN; one great-granddaughter, Haylee Madison Elizabeth Lemon of Kendallville, IN; along with numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and six siblings, Neal Reichard, Tom Reichard, Jerry Reichard, Barbara Lehman, Shirley Nicodemus, and Evelyn Leitch.

Betty graduated from Wawaka High School and worked in the manufactured homes industry for many years. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ligonier and loved her grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed planting flowers, playing euchre, chicken foot, and bunco club. Betty will always be remembered as a beloved mother, a wonderful grandmother, and a great person.

A funeral service will be held in Betty’s honor on Sunday March 24, 2019 at 1 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Phil Schamehorn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Yeager Funeral Home.
