Dorothy Waldron

Dorothy Waldron, age 96, of Goshen, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen.  She was born on December 9, 1923 to George and Elisabeth (Leiter) Hoffert in Coesse, IN. On April 21, 1946 she married Harold Waldron in Topeka. He preceded her in death in April of 1988.

Mrs. Waldron was a lifetime area resident and enjoyed bowling. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She had worked for Essex Wire, Nisco , and at Tiffany’s in Topeka for 15 years. She attended Maple Grove Church in Topeka for many years.

She is survived by five children, Larry “Wally” (Judy) Waldron of Goshen, Ellowene Myers of Nappanee, Maxine (Ted) Baumgartner of Fort Wayne, Donna Waldron of Elkhart, Donald (LeeAnn) Waldron of Goshen; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; 2 great grandsons; and two brothers, Archie Hoffert & Russell Hoffert.

A funeral service will be held in Dorothy’s honor on Monday May 18, 2020 at 3 pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

There will be a time of visitation from 2-3pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are to Maple Grove Church.
