Doris L Geiger 91, Formally from Rome City, but lived her last few years at Lutheran Life Village in Kendallville, went home peacefully to Jesus on April 28, 2026.

She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was born in Ft.Wayne, IN to Charles Crowder and Opal Scott , on July 12,1934, an only child.

She had 3 children , Debra Knittle, Frank Geiger jr, and Penny Morris; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Knittle, James Herrmann, Katee Herrmann; and 3 great grandchildren.

Her parents and husband proceed her in death.

Many things brighten her days, she had wonderful caregivers, and her best friend Velmia Godsey. She lived a simple life as a Homemaker / caregiver / neighborhood babysitter. Was notorious for her many phone calls to check on you, loved to cook, play bingo, and giving gifts. Loved animals, and the best part of the day was coffee time with Little Debbie’s. She will be missed.

There will be No service, but a celebration of life at a later date.
