Donald E. Knafel

Donald E. Knafel, age 64, of Kimmell, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He was born on July 17, 1957, the son of Donald and Jessie (Coquillard) Knafel in Elkhart, IN.

Donald is survived by his spouse Christine Clawson of Kimmell, IN; two daughters, Chasity Knafel of Syracuse, IN and Christina (Shane) Barhydt of Ligonier, IN; 2 brothers Ronald (Betsy) Knafel of Milford, IN and Randy (Tracey) Knafel of Ligonier, IN; a sister Debra Franks of Ligonier, IN and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald was a jack of all trades and quite the handyman.  He loved Nascar, music, wrestling, farming and cats.  He enjoyed spending his time mowing the lawn and being outside.

A funeral service will be held in Donalds’s honor at 1:00 PM on Monday July 26, 2021 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 am-1:00 pm prior to the service.
