Donald Seymour Gibson

Donald Seymour Gibson, age 85, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017.   He was born on October 23, 1932 to Seymor and Agnes L. (Hollsinger) Gibson in Elkhart, IN.  He married Virginia Smead; she preceded him in death on February 12, 1987.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Gibson (Jeff Kopp) of Ligonier, IN; three grandchildren, Cassie Gibson (Autumn Attkisson) of Fort Wayne, IN, Jeffrey Kopp II of Cromwell, IN, and Virginia Kopp; seven great-grandchildren, Elijiah, Caszandra, Sebaztian, Quelynn, Celeste, Cielo, and Lorenzo; and his nephew David Gibson of Union, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Donald was a very caring and selfless individual who loved his family and spending time with them more than anything.  He was a prolific reader and a very talented man.  His hobbies included building racecars and model cars, playing darts, making string art, and assembling guns from building kits.

A graveside service will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 at 1:30 where Donald will be laid to rest.
