Donald Gene Click Sr.

Donald Gene Click Sr., age 76, of Wawaka, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born on June 2, 1948 in McDowell County, West Virginia the son of Clarence Edward and Nellie Mae (Dawson) Click. On August 5, 1966, he married Laura Amy Deskins in Grundy, Virginia.

Don worked as an electrician in the coal mines of West Virginia for over 30 years and retired from U.S. Steel. He attended Five Corners Baptist Church and loved to hunt. His family and friends were very important to him and he loved to tease & aggravate his grandchildren. Don will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Laura Amy Click of Wawaka; four sons, Donald (Shellie) Click Jr. of Ligonier, Eddie (Carla) Click of Ligonier, Richard (Kandi) Click of Wawaka, and Mark Click of Wawaka; a sister, Linda (Tivis) Underwood of Caretta, West Virginia; 17 grandchildren, Angela (Jorge) Aguilar, Lisa Click, Dustin Click, Jennifer Click, Cody (Lauren) Click, Baylee (Cody) Ratliff, Kacee Click, Genesis “Mikel” Click, Hollis Click, Anthony Click, Leahla Click, Nick Koze, Laura Koze, Andrea Koze, Amy (Jacob) Reiff; 13 great grandchildren, Jorge, Michael, Carlos, Zaden, Isabella, Trinity, Emmalee, Rocky, Serenity, Cora, Rori, Lily and Ava; along with special friends, Paul (Michelle) Musser, Don Hoskins, Rod (Marlene) Slone, Mike Lengacher, Ed White, Johnny White, Tom Hayter, and Doug Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Carson Click; and a brother, Darrell Click.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Five Corners Baptist, 2995 E 600 S, Wolcottville, Indiana 46795. Pastors Jim Snyder and Steve Mcnary will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Township Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 2-6 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, with a church service beginning at 6pm. There will also be one hour of viewing prior to the service on Thursday.
