Dolph Tuvell, Jr.

Dolph Tuvell, Jr, age 88, of Ligonier, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on September 5, 1936 to Dolph and Frances (Crist) Tuvell, Sr, in Ligonier, Indiana. He married Janet M. Gray on February 26, 1971 in Ligonier, Indiana. She passed away on December 8, 2023.

Dolph is survived by his children, Teresa Owens of Cromwell, Troy (Sherri) Airgood of Ligonier, Ginger Wiley of Milford; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Tuvell of Ligonier; Brenda (Edd) Gaerte of Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and brother, James “Jim” Tuvell.

Dolph owned and operated Tuvell electric for 32 years. He was a member of the Elks and Eagles Lodge. Dolph enjoyed fishing and collecting cards.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. A service will be held to commemorate the life of Dolph’s at 11am on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be directed to Dogtown Resort in memory of Dolph’s memory.
