Diann Kay Cook, age 82, of Ligonier went to be with our Lord on Monday, May 5, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1943, in Garrett, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Richards and Alouise (Fordyce) Moore.
She grew up in rural Albion, where she enjoyed her pony, Patty. She attended Albion Jefferson High School, graduating in 1961. While in high school she participated in Noble County 4H, Winning Grand Champion Hereford Steer.
Diann is survived by her children, Lisa (Rob) Durham and Todd (Vicky) Owen. 5 grandchildren, Jeremie Ritchie, Emily Durham, Austin, Logan, and Aiden Owen. 2 Step-grandchildren Heaven (Dan) Gonzalez and Olivia Durham. And 6 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her 4 siblings, Dennis Moore, Deb Miller, Donita (Wayne) Fulk, and David (Ann) Moore. Diann is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Richards and Alouise Moore. Also, her Step-Father, Leonard "Junior" Moore.
Diann was a private person, she worked several factory jobs over the years. She loved her kitty-cat Sugar Bear. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She donated crocheted baby hats to nearby hospitals.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10 am to 12 noon at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. The family then will be taking a break. A service will then be held at 1:30 pm following the break. Pastor Gran Roberts will officiate. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Indiana.
