David Glenn
Kilgore
Mar 29, 1954 — Aug 27, 2026
Nappanee
David Glenn Kilgore, 72, of Nappanee, Indiana, passed away at home on August 27, 2026. He was born at Lucky Hospital in Wolf Lake, Indiana, on March 29, 1954, to Glenn Kilgore and Betty Ann (Coverstone) Kilgore.
Dave grew up on a farm outside of Kimmel, Indiana. He attended school in Wolf Lake and was a member of one of the first graduating classes at West Noble High School.
Throughout his working years, Dave was employed at Holiday Rambler, Newmar, and Sha-Do Corp. He worked hard to provide for his family and took pride in what he earned.
Dave enjoyed the simpler things in life. One of his greatest joys was gardening, and he loved planting, tending, and watching things grow. He also enjoyed making ice cream, playing with his beloved dog, Baloo, and listening to the timeless music of Diana Ross and the Supremes.
Dave is survived by his children, Jeremy (Erin) Kilgore of Ligonier, Chad Kilgore of Ligonier, and Joanna Pyle of Jackson, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, Brittany, Blake, Delani, Bailey, Kassidy, Lucas, Brooklyn, and Braelyn; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Lewis (Sherry) Kilgore of Kimmel, Nancy (Ed) Sprunger of Columbia City, and Caroline Resler of Wolf Lake; as well as his beloved dog, Baloo, who was a faithful companion to Dave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Kilgore and Betty Ann (Coverstone) Kilgore, and his sister, Jane Rawles.
Dave will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family and the land, his strong personality, and the many simple joys that made him who he was. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Per his wishes, there will not be a formal service. Family and friends are invited to share their favorite memories and stories of Dave at www.yeagerfuneralhome.com
