Darrell D. Ellsworth Sr.

Darrell D. Ellsworth SR., age 47, of Elkhart, IN passed away unexpectedly in his home, surrounded by his loved ones August 15th 2021.Darrell was preceded in death by his Father Ralph Condy and Grandparents Charles and Ida Ellsworth.Darrell was born on April 8, 1974 to Penny Ellsworth. He was loved dearly by his companion, Angela Humphrey of Elkhart, his siblings Roger Ellsworth of Elkhart, Carrie Condy of Elkhart, and Evander (Micheala) Elztroth of Elkhart. He was a loving father and is survived by his five children,  Amanda Davis of Elkhart, Kayla Ellsworth (Daven Barnett) of Elkhart, Darrell Ellsworth Jr. of Texas, Jordyn Ellsworth of Elkhart, and Autumn Ellsworth of Syracuse; stepchildren, Braylen Phelps, Serenity Phelps and Makenzie Blodgett all of Elkhart. Along with his six beautiful grandchildren, Kaylianna Ellsworth of Elkhart, Daven Barnett of Elkhart, Kaiven Barnett of Elkhart, Brooks Davis of Elkhart, Ashaelah Elaine of Texas, and Arizona Watkins; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his childhood best friend Robert Green will miss him tremendously.Darrell was all about his family and loved being around them, cranking up the jukebox, and barbecuing his favorite foods. Darrell loved being able to laugh and have a great time next to his loved ones. Family, Country music, and cowboy boots were his happy place. He also loved the Colts and his NASCAR. Darrell had a kind heart and was full of life. He was currently working at EFP, and had attended  the career center to become a mechanic. He was very well known for the work he could do on automobiles. Darrell could take apart a car and put it right back together like legos. He will be truly missed! Relatives and friends may join Darrell Ellsworth’s viewing and service at That Church on the Rise located at 28082 County Rd. 4 Elkhart, IN on Friday August 20th 2021. Viewing will begin at 10am, and the service will take place at noon. Burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Following the burial, the family is welcoming everyone back to the church to enjoy lunch and celebrate and cherish the time that they had with Darrell while he was here.
