Colleen R. Galloway, 61, of Harlan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2025, after a brief stay at Avalon Village in Ligonier.
Born in Kendallville, Indiana on August 13, 1964, Colleen was the daughter of Merl “Don” and Esther (Borntrager) Galloway. Colleen graduated from West Noble High School in 1983.
After graduation she began working for Kidd and Company in Ligonier until it changed ownership to Kraft Foods in Kendallville, where she remained a faithful employee for 27 years until her retirement. She was always a hard worker. Colleen was very friendly, compassionate, and enjoyed having conversations with everyone.
In her younger days Colleen enjoyed a great game of softball and fishing. While at Avalon Village, she enjoyed playing Bingo with friends, coloring and playing games on her phone.
Her pride and joy were her boys, and they cherished their strong relationships. She was a dog lover and spoiled her dog, Coco.
Colleen is survived by her sons, Danny Galloway of Auburn and Carl Galloway of Columbia City; her mother, Esther Galloway Mast of Ligonier; siblings, Donald Edward Galloway of Rosharon, TX, Michele (Keith) Schmidt of LaGrange and Christine (Kenny) Sprague of Kimmell; brother-in-law, Rich Henderson of Vicksburg, MI as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Don, stepfather Glen Ezra Mast, brother Vernon Galloway, and sister Malinda J. Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 2 pm on January 5, 2026, at Ligonier Christian Church, 9025 N 860 W, Ligonier, IN. Funeral services will follow in the church at 2 pm with Pastor Chris Coney officiating.
Burial will be in the Indian Village Cemetery, Cromwell.
