Chad Jason Cook

Chad Jason Cook, age 49, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Ligonier, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2023 at 9:58 pm at home. He was born on October 31, 1973, the son of Bade and Carol (Poff) Cook in LaGrange.

He is survived by his other half, Tina Lynn Cervantes; bonus daughter, Victoria Lynn Thomas;  five siblings, Joy (Dave) Miller, Cindy (Daniel Alemu) Anderson, Dawn Gibson all of Ligonier, and Shane Cook and Willy Cook of Fort Wayne; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Darlo Cook, Tony Cook, and Mark Cook.

Chad was a hard worker and was always there to help others. He enjoyed buying things to fix and resale, keeping things clean, and tinkering. Chad also loved fishing and listening to music, especially Hank Williams Jr. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held in Chad’s honor at 3 pm on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Brother Bill McDonald will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park  Cemetery in Ligonier.

Family and friends will be received from 12 pm - 3 pm prior to the service at Yeager Funeral Home on Friday.
