Cathy Jo Baker

Cathy Jo Baker, age 74, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her residence, of over forty years, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 13, 1951, in Ligonier, IN to the late Medford Talmadge and Flotilla Blanche (Hughes) Durham.

On November 14, 1969, she married Howard Lee Baker, he survives. Cathy worked at BRC in Ligonier for over twenty-seven years. The last position was in shipping before her retirement. She is a member of the Trinity Assembly of GOD Church in Ligonier. Her family and serving GOD were her life. She loved dogs and people. She had a passion for Life, Love and Fun.

Cathy is survived by; her loving husband, Howard Lee Baker; two daughters; Rhonda Lucas of Auburn, IN and Dawn Byland of Ligonier, IN; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Peggy Baker of Cromwell, IN, Patty Schofe of Ligonier, IN, Norma Brewer of Ligonier, IN, Phyllis Durham of Ligonier, IN; one sister-in-law, Marge Durham of Ligonier, IN.

She was preceded in death by; her parents, Medford and Flotilla Durham; seven brothers, John Durham, Morris Durham, Bob Durham, Bill Durham, Tom Durham, Jack Durham and Donald Durham.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 11:00AM to 12:30PM at the Trinity Assembly of GOD Church 1288 W. Union St., Ligonier, IN 46767.  A funeral service will follow at 12:30PM with Pastor Jeff Thomas officiating. Burial will take place in Sparta Cemetery Kimmell, IN.

The family has entrusted Yeager Funeral Home with the arrangements.
