Catherine Ilene Geiger

March 18, 1930 — October 20, 2023

Catherine “Patty” Ilene Geiger, age 93, of Kimmell, Indiana passed away at home with her family by her side on Friday, October 20, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1930 the daughter of Ralph and Bandora (Kolberg) Iden. On June 4, 1949, she married Charles Geiger; he preceded her in death on May 8, 2014.

She is survived by two daughters, Trudy (Duane) Fetters of Kimmell, and Kim (Herb) Pattison of Fort Wayne, IN; too many to name, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and last but not least, her lovable cat, Bootsie.

Patty was a devoted homemaker and worked on the family farm with her husband for over 60 years. She also cleaned homes on Lake Wawasee for many years. Patty enjoyed bowling, loved painting, and playing cards, especially euchre. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, birdwatching, and her frequent trips to Dollar General. Above all, she loved her family deeply, and they loved her just as much. She will be greatly missed, as will her famous pies and macaroni & cheese.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Arlene Iden; her husband; a daughter, Vicki Brown; and two siblings, Arthur “Junior” Iden and Pat Elliott.

A private family service will be held in Patty’s in honor. She will then be laid to rest with her husband, Charles At Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
