Carol Christine Frey, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 18th in Ligonier, IN. She was born December 25, 1950, to Sylvanus and Marietta Frey.

Carol grew up on a farm just outside of Ligonier and spent a lot of her time helping out on her family’s farm.

Carol graduated from West Noble High School in 1969. She married Pat Frain on April 12, 1969, and had three children.

Carol worked at Royal Imprints from 1979 until she retired in 2008. She loved her cats, especially Lucy and Cody. Carol also loved tending to her flower beds around her house all spring and summer. Carol was baptized at Richville Church in 2014.

Carol is survived by her children, Christina Frain, Jeffrey (Tammy) Frain, and Timothy Frain; siblings, Mary (Morry) Godfrey, Dr. John (Lynn Day MD) Frey, Jim Frey, Sherri Rosenogle; and step-siblings, Tamra (Phil) Gerber, Paula Yoder, and Craig (Beth) Helman.

Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Frey.

Carol will have a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception at Pat Frain’s home for any who wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Carol Frey’s name.
