Bradford “Brad” Franklin Cogar, age 79, of Topeka, Indiana, formerly of Wawaka, Indiana, passed away at home on Friday, November 24, 2023. He was born March 26, 1944 the son of Adam Ross and Cordie (Cadle) Cogar in Webster Springs, West Virginia.
He is survived by two children, Bruce (Renee) Cogar of Mansfield, Ohio and Susie (Douglas) Rush of Topeka, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Cogar of Mansfield, Ohio; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Burl Cogar and Connie Tringes; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Vliet; and four siblings, Ivy Bigler, Evelyn Friend, Leona Green, and Denver Cogar.
Brad retired from Haynes Rubbish in Mifflin, Ohio after 47 years of faithful service. He loved his grandkids and garage sales. He also enjoyed fishing in recent years.
In keeping with Brad’s wishes, cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. The family will host a celebration of his life at a later date.
