Bobby Ray Cripe, 61 of Ligonier Indiana passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center Fort Wayne. He was surrounded by his loving family while he was welcome into the loving arms of Jesus.
Bobby was born December 9, 1964, in Goshen, Indiana, to late Richard Cripe and Mirite Cripe, and a longtime resident of Ligonier, Indiana.
He graduated from West Noble High School in 1983 and went on to build a life centered around hard work and family. In 1988, he married the love of his life, Alice Cripe, sharing 38 years of love, laughter, and devotion. Their love story began in the sweetest way the two met at a donut shop, a simple moment that turned into a lifetime of memories.
Bobby was a loving father, devoted husband, and hardworking man who dedicated 30 years of his life to Star of the West Milling Company. Always ready to help anyone, he had a way of making people laugh. Stubborn at times but deeply loyal, he had a strong work ethic and a big heart. He loved his sweets, an his Copenhagen Snuff, adored his dogs, Bullet and Delilah, and enjoyed spending time watching television, especially WWE, Ice Road Truckers, Cops, and many other shows. He also enjoyed working on his flashlights and scanners, always tinkering and staying busy with the things he loved.
He was the proud father of Cody Ray and Heley Fay Above all, family meant everything to him. His love, guidance, and steady presence shaped their lives in ways that will never fade. He was a proud grandfather to Kennedy Cripe and Peyton Cripe, who brought him great joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Cripe, his son, Cody (Tiffany) Cripe his daughter, Heley (Phillip) Cohn his grandchildren, Kennedy Cripe and Peyton Cripe, his mother, Mirite Cripe, his sister, Angela Landry, his brother, Benjamin (Barb) Cripe, many nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Cripe, his brother, John Eugene Cripe, and his grandson, Grayson Able Cohn.
A Funeral Service celebrating Bobby's Life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier with calling from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Calling will also be Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Buriall will follow the service at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
Bobby’s family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace and that his love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he cherished.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the life of Bobby Ray Cripe. May he rest in Your eternal peace, surrounded by Your love and light. Comfort his family in their grief, and fill their hearts with the warmth of his memory. Give them strength, hope, and peace as they carry forward the love and lessons he shared. Amen.
