Barbara “Anne” Stoltz, age 91, of Topeka passed away on May 12, 2025, at Greencroft in Goshen, Indiana. She was born on February 4, 1934, to Willard & Pearl (Davis) Watson in Inverness, Mississippi. On May 9, 1953, she married Tom Stoltz in Gulf Port, MS. He passed away on August 24, 2000.
Anne is survived by her children, Tommy (Gloria) Stoltz of Montgomery, OH, and Jodi (Johnny) Simpson of Fayetteville, NC; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and sister, Lynette Slabach of Bristol. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Carl Stoltz, a daughter, Gina Huggins; and 6 sisters.
Anne worked for Assistive Technology in Elkhart for 18 years. She was also in the mentor program at the elementary school. Anne enjoyed reading, court tv and being active in her church. She was known as the Queen of Halloween.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1-3 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Topeka United Methodist Church, 124 W. Pine St., Topeka, IN 46571. A funeral service will be held in Anne’s honor at 3 PM following the visitation at the church. Pastors Harold Gingerich, Diana Siegel and Johnny Simpson will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Faith Mission, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516.
