Ava Lea Reed

Ava Lea Reed, 78, of Avilla passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on August 6, 1945 to Phyllis (Kelly) Deem in Marietta, OH.

Ava was very proud of her Irish heritage. She absolutely loved jewelry and yard sales, especially when she scored a good deal.

Ava is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Reed and Gregory Reed; a brother, Eugene (Kim) Kathary of Ligonier; a step sister, Deiride Marshall; friend, Jeff Henson of Garrett, IN; and her beloved Irish cat, Kelly Marie Reed.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother, James Kathary; and a sister, Lois Cunniff.

A funeral service in honor of Ava will be held at 3 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S, Ligonier, IN 46767.

Friends and family will be received from 1-3 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
