Anthony Reyes

Anthony Reyes, age 17, of Ligonier, IN, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident that took place on August 20, 2020. He was born on February 19, 2003, the son of Gerardo Reyes and Griselda Hernandez, in Elkhart, IN.

He is survived by his parents, Gerardo and Griselda, of Ligonier, IN; brothers, Erick and Gerardo Reyes, Jr., both of Ligonier, IN; grandparents, Samuel and Josefina Reyes, and Emiliana Velez, all of Mexico. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ramiro Hernandez.

Tony was a Senior at West Noble High School in Ligonier, IN. He was proud to be a part of the “Charger” soccer team and loved sports in general. He enjoyed listening to rap music and composing his own music.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working out with his friends.

He will be remembered for his big heart and loving personality. He will truly be missed by many.

A funeral service will be held in Anthony’s honor on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 3:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ligonier, IN, 46767. Father Wilson Corzo will officiate. Burial will follow the ceremony.

Family and friends will be received from 3 PM on Monday, August 24, 2020, until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier, IN.

Anthony Reyes, de 17 años, de Ligonier, IN, falleció inesperadamente como resultado de un accidente automovilístico ocurrido el 20 de agosto de 2020. Nació el 19 de febrero de 2003, hijo de Gerardo Reyes y Griselda Hernandez, en Elkhart, IN.

Le sobreviven sus padres, Gerardo y Griselda, de Ligonier, IN; hermanos, Erick y Gerardo Reyes, Jr., ambos de Ligonier, IN; abuelos, Samuel y Josefina Reyes, y Emiliana Vélez, todos de México. Le antecede en la muerte su abuelo, Ramiro Hernández.

Tony era estudiante de último año en West Noble High School en Ligonier, IN. Estaba orgulloso de ser parte del equipo de fútbol "Charger" y amaba los deportes en general. Disfrutaba escuchando música rap y componiendo su propia música. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba hacer ejercicio con sus amigos.

Será recordado por su gran corazón y su amorosa personalidad. Muchos lo extrañarán realmente.

Se llevará a cabo el funeral en honor de Anthony el martes 25 de agosto de 2020 a las 3:00 PM en la Iglesia Católica de San Patricio, Ligonier, IN, 46767. El Padre Wilson Corzo oficiará. El entierro seguirá a la ceremonia.

Los familiares y amigos serán recibidos desde las 3 PM del lunes 24 de agosto de 2020, hasta las 2:30 PM del martes 25 de agosto de 2020, en Yeager Funeral Home en Ligonier, IN.
