Annjeanette Owen

AnnJeanette Owen, 76, of Ligonier passed away on December 20, 2019 at her residence. She was born to the late Robert and Gwendolyn (Winer) Ankney on May 10, 1943 in Sturgis, MI.  She married Jerry L. Owen on September 17, 1993 in LaGrange, IN. He passed away on June 14, 2016.

AnnJeanette is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Don) Smith of Ligonier, Tonya (Mike) Holcomb of Kimmell, Tracy (Tony Perks) Fought of Topeka; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grand children; brother, Jerry Ankney of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Cindy Ankney.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Owen; son, Scott Douglas Fought; brother, Roger Ankney; sister-in-law, Trudy Ankney.

Services will be at 5 pm Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Yeager Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1-5pm prior to the service. Pastor Jean Ness will officiate.  A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center following the service at the funeral home.  A graveside service will occur at a later date in Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery in Albion, IN.

AnnJeanette enjoyed quilting, spending time with her grandchildren, doing yard work and meeting friends for lunch at the Kimmell Inn. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Cancer Center.
