Alma Leticia Herrera Delgadillo

Alma Leticia Herrera Delgadillo, age 18, of Ligonier, IN, passed away as a result of a car accident on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Ligonier, IN. She was born on May 31, 2000 to Jose Luis Herrera Mendez and Heidi Adelaida Delgadillo Gutierrez in Aguascalientes, AGUAS, Mexico.

Almita had so many things she loved to do.  Working after school at the NISCO Company in Topeka, IN was one of them.  She was a student at West Noble High School and was waiting to graduate this spring. She enjoyed playing and watching soccer. She also liked to put on make-up and dance like no-body was watching.  She did not need a reason to go out and spend time with friends and family because that was who she was.  Alma had a passion to explore anything new.  A life lost so young, and the memories she created will be missed by everyone who came to know her.

She is survived by her father, Jose Luis Herrera Mendez; mother, Heidi Adelaida Delgadillo Gutierrez and step father, Vicente Hernandez of Ligonier, IN; siblings, Jose J. Delgadillo, Valeria Delgadillo, Leonela Delgadillo, Natalia Delgadillo, all of Ligonier, IN; maternal grandfather, Bruno Delgadillo of Aguascalientes Mexico; aunts and uncles: Juana Delgadillo, Leticia Delgadillo, Lorena Delgadillo, Maria Delgadillo, Edgar Delgadillo and Yesenia Delgadillo all of Ligonier, IN; along with numerous cousins.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Maria Delourdes Delgadillo.

A funeral mass in Alma’s honor will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 3PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – 300 Ravine Park Dr. Ligonier, IN 46767 , with Father Wilson Corzo officiating.

Friends and family may gather at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767 beginning at 2PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 following in to the evening and all night until 2PM Friday, September 21, 2018.

Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center will assist following the funeral mass.
