Adriana "Donna" Cantu

Adriana “Donna” Cantu, age 45, of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 5, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on February 19, 1973 the daughter of Adrian and Gladys (Ake) Cantu in Weslaco, TX.

Donna is survived by her two loving daughters, Maria “Mali” Contreras of Ligonier, IN and Adriana “Mara” Contreras of Goshen, IN; three grandchildren, Jose Manuel Galindo, Isaias Zapata, and Manuel Zapata all at home; her mother, Gladys Cantu Ligonier, IN; sixteen siblings, Lucy Cantu, Jose Abel Cantu, Victor Cantu, Habert Cantu, Elaine Cantu, Evelyn Cantu, Moses Cantu, Adrian Cantu, Liz Cantu, Peter Cantu, Paula Cantu, Twin brother- Joe Cantu, Allen Cantu, Esther Cantu, Adrian Jr. Cantu, and Aaron Cantu; along with a never ending list of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donna graduated from West Noble High School in 1990 and attend The Truth Church where she was a great Sunday school teacher for the kids. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ to the very end. Donna always put others above herself. She was a comforter, and constant encouragement to everyone she knew. She was also deeply devoted to her family and especially loved her grandbabies. Her smile, her hugs, and love for others will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held in Donna’s honor at 6PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at The House of God, 207 West Fourth Street, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Peter Cantu will officiate. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier following the services.

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 . Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
