Lauretta Violetta Stoner

Lauretta Violetta (Kolberg) Stoner, age 84, of Syracuse, IN passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 5:20 AM at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse.

She was born on January 15, 1926 to Arthur and Violett (Prentice) Kolberg. On March 18, 1944 She married Kletice Stoner in Syracuse. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2001.

Mrs. Stoner was a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1944 and worked for Essex Wire for 18 years.

Survivors include three children, Ted (Becky) Stoner of Syracuse, Penny (Dave) Limerick of Ligonier, Jerry (Amy) Stoner of Ligonier; four sisters, Edelva Violet Butt of Syracuse, Mary Byrd of Mishawaka, Decima Butt of Syracuse, Margaret Poyser of Cromwell; one brother, Arthur Burton Kolberg of Syracuse; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death ny a daughter, Peggy Weiss, and two sisters, Bandora Iden and Edonna Kolberg.

There will be a funeral service held in her honor on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 7 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Tim Terrell officiating. Interment will be in McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 4-7 PM prior to the memorial service.
