Yvonne "Bonnie" Jones

Yvonne ‘‘Bonnie’’ Jones, 72, of Kimmell died unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at her residence of natural causes.

She had moved to the area in the 1950s from Kentucky.Mrs. Jones was a dedicated homemaker.

She had a special love for the Lord and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her family and friends when they could not be together.

She was born November 29, 1937, in Yellow Mountain, Ky., to Floyd and Lida (Conley) Wallen. She married Raymond Jones on April 23, 1969. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2004.

Surviving are four children, Gary L. Hicks of Kendallville, Ind., Harold D. Hicks of Grassrange, Mont., Larry K. and Melissa Hicks of Ligonier, Ind., and Jalinda K. Jones of Cromwell, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Aimee, Jessica, Joleen, Dustin, Lacy, Kayla, Bethany and Brandon; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann (Ed) Perkins of Kendallville and Hadney Clevenger of Ligonier; and a brother, Cordus Wallen of Rome City, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant children; three sisters, Maxine Wallen, Beatrice Bailey and Jan Sawyer; and two brothers, Corgy Wallen and Burly Wallen.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Ind.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Yeager Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Shepherd of Shilo Baptist Church in Ligonier officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Ind.
