Kody W. Brotemarkle

WAWAKA — Kody W. Brotemarkle, 19, of Wawaka, died at 9:49 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2010 in Kendallville as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born March 13, 1991 in Flint, Mich., to Kalyn Fleming and Marcy (Brotemarkle) Piggott.
He moved to the area in 2003, coming from Flint, and had worked at Game Stop in Kendallville since 2008.
He graduated from West Noble in 2009 and was a member of the National Honor Society, wrestling team, Mathletes Club and Robotics Club. He served others as a math tutor and had won numerous awards for his accomplishments, but yet he always remained humble. Kody loved to have fun, play video games and hockey.
Surviving are his mother, Marcy Piggott of Wawaka; his father, Kalyn Fleming of Union, Mich.; six siblings, Courtney Wilson of Owosso, Mich., Morgin Brotemarkle of Wawaka, Christopher Fleming of Milford,Brett Trevillian of Swartz Creek, Mich., Kylie Fleming of Milford and Zakk Trevillian of Swartz Creek; a niece, Alonna Shack of Owosso; paternal grandparents, Larry Fleming and Theresa Cullinane of Golden Valley, Ariz.; paternal great-grandfather, Pete Fleming of Paragould, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Pam Brotemarkle of Swartz Creek; maternal great-grandmother, Joan Crane of Flint; two very close uncles, Bruce and Bryan Crane, both of Flint; and two special stepfathers, Mark Trevillian of Swartz Creek and Pete Piggott of Wawaka.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Matt Brotemarkle.
A memorial service will take place Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stones Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stones Hill Rd., Ligonier, with Pastor Jim Barnes of Cosperville Baptist Church officiating.
Calling will be Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. prior to the memorial service at Stones Hill Community Church.
