Earline Blankenbecler

Earline Blankenbecler, 89, of Ligonier, IN passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10:45 PM. Earline was born on July 14, 1921 in Wise, Virginia. She moved to Ligonier in 1980. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Glenna (Jimmy) Clark of Ligonier, IN, Jody (Sam) Stump of Ligonier, IN, Jeff James of Topeka, IN, David (Kathy) Wheatley of Big Stone Gap, VA; several great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Callie (Dotson) Wheatley; husband, Garnie; sister, Roalice James of IN; a brother, JD Wheatley of Big Stone Gap, VA; and a niece, Marty (Martha) Coburn of Ligonier, IN. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Ligonier, IN. Earline was also a long time member of the Eastern Star. A viewing will be held at Yeager Funeral Home- 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN on Thursday October 21, 2010 from 4-7 PM. Earline will then be taken to Buford-Sturgill Funeral Home- 1621 Norton Rd. SW; Wise, VA 24293 where a viewing will be held from 11-2 PM followed by a funeral service at 2PM on Saturday October 23, 2010. She will be buried in Blankenbecler Family Cemetery in Stephens, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association- 225 N.
