Forrest “Glen” Sprague, 87, of Ligonier, IN passed away Monday, Sept. 13 in Goshen General Hospital as the result of natural causes. He was born on July 9, 1923 in Ligonier, IN to Frank & Ethel (Growcock) Sprague. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Glen retired from Noble County Co-op after over 25 years of service. For the last 19 years he drove the hay ride tractor at Fashion Farm throughout the month of October, a job he enjoyed thoroughly. Surviving are his children Terry (Carol Ann) Sprague and Glenda (Dennis) Dunlap, both of Goshen. One sister Betty Chiddister of Kendallville. 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are 11 brothers and 6 sisters and a grandchild, Dennis Ray Dunlap. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 5PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier, IN with Pastor John Lutton Officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home following the memorial service by the American Legion Post 243 of Ligonier. Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
