Bob W. Chiddister

Bob W. Chiddister, age 85, of Ligonier, died at his daughter's home on September 13, 2010 at 4:15 AM due to natural causes.

He was born on October 4, 1924 in LaGrange County, IN to Buryl & Madge (Cobbum) Chiddister. On October 6, 1956 he married Deloris Janet McClure. She survives.

Mr. Chiddister was a lifetime area resident. He retired from Anderson Bowling in Goshen, IN after 40 years of service. He also served his country honorably during World War II in the United States Army and was stationed in the South Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris; one son, Bob C. Chiddister of Cromwell; three daughters, Sally (Kerry) Wilson of Albion, Sheri (Lewis) Kilgore of Wolf Lake, Shellie Koze of Albion; ten grandchildren, Scott Chiddister, Travis Chiddister, Cory Slone, Chad Wilson, Brad May, Amanda May, Nick Koze, Andrea Koze, Laura and Amy Koze; two great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Orange Township Cemetery. There will be full military honors.

A time of visitation will be held at Yeager Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral service.
