Maxine L. Prentice

Maxine L. Prentice, age 79, of Kimmell, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Northridge Village in Albion at 3:02 PM.

She was born on March 11, 1931 to Earl & Pearl (Lynn) Cook in Ligonier, Indiana. She married Ivan Prentice on April 6, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1992.

Maxine was a lifetime area resident. She retired from Fashion Farm after 30 plus years of service. She graduated from Ligonier High School in 1949 and was a member of the Broadway Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons; Kevin (Sarah) Prentice of Cromwell, Bryan (Mindy) Prentice of Knapp Lake in Kimmell, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister; Gladys Harrison of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Betty Olwhine, Nancy Bloom and Rose Cook, three brothers; Jim, John and Frank Cook.

There will be a funeral service held in Mrs. Prentice's honor on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 1 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with Pastor JD Woods officiating. A private burial will take place in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home.
