Elizabeth J. Beck

Elizabeth J. Beck, age 91, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Avalon Village in Ligonier.

She was born on December 9, 1918 to James & Lucille (Hire) Simpson in Ligonier, IN. She married Charles Beck in October of 1940, he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Beck was a lifetime area resident. She retired as a school teacher after more than 30 years of service. Elizabeth also was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant children, parents and one sister, Barbara Spore.

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Beck on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

A visitation will be held on July 3, 2010 from 12-2 PM at Yeager Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
