Ronald Lee Knox

KIMMELL — Ronald Lee Knox, 73, of Kimmell died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Knox was a lifetime area resident. He had worked for Supreme Corporation and Starcarft Tanks. Mr. Knox was a member of the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club and the Ligonier-Albion Bowling Association. He was also a member of Stone’s Hill Community Church.
Mr. Knox coached Little League, American Legion Baseball and Stover’s Softball teams.

He was born June 8, 1936, in Noble County, Ind., to Wayne and Ruth (Thunander) Knox. He married Joyce Marlene Reeve on November 4, 1953, in Albion, Ind.

Surviving are a son, Kary and Becky Knox of Avilla; a daughter, Sheree and Ron Fritz of Wolcottville; a sister, Vonda and Gary Barnes of Columbia City; two brothers, Jim and Cindy Knox of Fort Wayne and Roger Knox of Wolf Lake; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Stone’s Hill Community Church with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery at Kimmell. Pallbearers will be Kenny Bales, Pat Elliot, Tom Fish, Troy Airgood, Keith Myers, Keith Fiand and Kent Saggars.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, March 26, 2010, at the church. The Lions Club and Masonic Lodge will conduct special services.

Memorials are to the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club Scholarship Fund in care of the Noble County Community Foundation, 1599 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767, the the Kidney Foundation, or Ryan's Place, PO BOX 73, Goshen, IN 46527.
