Evelyn M. Johnson

Evelyn M. Johnson, age 93, of Ligonier, died February 25, 2010 of natural causes at Avalon Village.

She was born to Loyal & Goldia (Cox) Moseman on March 10, 1916 in Ligonier, IN. Evelyn graduated from Ligonier High School in 1935. She married Cluade Johnson on June 29, 1963 in Wawaka.

Evelyn returned to the area from Gary, IN in 2006, where she had resided for over 56 years. She had been a dedicated homemaker all her life.

She is survived by two step daughters: Lois (Howard) Genz of Jane, Missouri; Linda (Larry) Hartzler of Ligonier; seven step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband in May of 1990, both parents, 2 step-children and one step-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home with Pastor Sheldon Crapo of Burr Oak Church in Ligonier officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service.

Memorial contributions will be to the charity of the donor's choice.
