Robert Owens

Robert Owens, of Ligonier, age 69, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at his residence in Ligonier.

Mr. Owens was born on October 5, 1940 to Keen & Esther (Reynolds) Owens in Leburn, Kentucky. He married Judy Hall in 1962, she passed away in 1972.

He moved to Ligonier in 1972 coming from Columbus, IN where he had lived since 1962. Mr. Owens worked in the manufactured home industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and family whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Owens is survived by one son: Robert Brian (Janelle) Owens of LaOtto, IN; two grandsons: Alex Paul and Connor Robert at home in LaOtto, IN; his mother: Esther Owens of Ligonier, IN; one sister: Gladys Shepherd of Ligonier, IN; two brothers: Keenis (Linda) Owens of Ligonier, IN and Buford (Mavis) Owens of Stanton, KY. He was also preceded in death by his father in 1952.

A visitation will be held for Mr. Owens on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 4-7 PM at Yeager Funeral Home- 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 & also Monday, February 1, 2010 from 6-9 PM at Hindman Funeral Home- 619 Hindman Bypass, Hindman, KY 41822.

A funeral service will be held on on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 11 AM at Hindman Funeral Home in Hindman, KY.
